Annual Report Out Now!

We are pleased to publish our 2025–2026 Trustees' Annual Report, providing a detailed overview of what CASK Research has achieved over the past year and how every donation has been used. The report sets out our activities, achievements, governance and finances, together with our plans for the future.

The report highlights an exceptional year of progress, including the completion of groundbreaking gene therapy research at UC Davis, the launch of a new PhD programme at the University of Portsmouth, advances in drug repurposing research, the creation of the first global CASK Scientific Round Table, development of a Europe-wide clinical registry initiative, expansion of the CASK Coalition, and continued support for families through counselling, patient resources and community events.

Publishing an annual Trustees' Report is a legal requirement for charities registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. It is far more than a financial statement — it demonstrates that we are operating transparently, responsibly and for the public benefit.

One of the principles we are particularly proud of is that, as a UK charity using donated funds to support research, we have a responsibility to ensure that the knowledge generated benefits the wider public. Wherever possible, the outcomes of the research we fund are shared openly so that families, clinicians and researchers can all benefit. We believe this is the right and ethical way to use charitable donations.

Every pound entrusted to CASK Research is carefully managed, independently examined and fully accounted for. We can show exactly where our funding has gone, what it has achieved and how it is helping to accelerate progress towards treatments for CASK disorders.

When you choose to donate to CASK Research, you can be confident that your generosity is treated with the utmost care, transparency and accountability. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support.
